Code BA25102001: Antique Hunter Compass by Dollond, c. 1920
| This a nice and rare English compass made by the famous Dollond of London around 1920. It comes in a brass case in excellent condition. It has a strong hinge and marked with the serial number 71 inside the front lid. It is marked Dollond, London on the front lid. The compass has a very nice floating dial, whic is a variation of the Singer's Patent dial. The dial is covered with a bevelled glass crystal in excellent condition without scratches or chips. It is in full working order and points North without any problem, with a transit lock activated when the lid is closed. Nice and rare compass maeasuring around 46mm in diameter. |
