| This is a nice antique compass made by Taylor for the L. L. Bean Company between 1910 and 1920. The full hunter case is nickel and in excellent condition. The front lid spring open as it should when the release button is pushed. It has a strong hinge. The face is stamped L. L. Bean, Inc. Freeport, Me. The compass is in all working order and finds North precisely. The transit lock is also in working order and is activated when the lid is closed. It measures about 4.7cm in diameter. |
