| This is a nice Elgin Veritas pocket watch made in 1922. It is in excellent running order and keeps excellent time. It has been recently cleaned, oiled and timed. SIZE and WEIGHT This is a 16 size 15 model. It measures around 50 mm (2 inches) in diameter (excluding pendant crown and bow). It weighs about 90 g (3.17 ounces).CASE The open-face case is Gold Filled and still in excellent condition for its age without any damage.Engraved inside the back lid: RAILROAD MODEL, Wadsworth REFEREE, 20 YEARS. It has serial number 392363. MOVEMENT 16 Size movement in excellent and clean condition.Marked Elgin Natl. Watch Co., U. S. A., 23 Jewels, VERISTAS with serial number 24625300. It is also marked ADJUSTED 5 POSITIONS. This is stem wind and lever set (next to 1 o'clock) movement and has 23 jewels. It is running strong and keeps excellent time. DIAL The double-sunk porcelain dial is in mint condition without any scratches or chips.It is marked Elgin. HANDS The extra heavy spade and whip hands are original and in excellent condition.CRYSTAL The glass crystal is in excellent condition without scratches or chips.This is a nice pocket watch fully functional and has been professionally checked and timed. It comes with a nice 12K gold plated chain, marked 1/20 - 12K.
