| This is a nice Elgin G. M. Wheeler pocket watch made in 1873. It is in excellent running order and keeps excellent time. It has been recently cleaned, oiled and timed. The watch comes with a #5 key. SIZE and WEIGHT This is a 18 Size G. M. Wheeler variation model. It measures around 58 mm (~2.28 inches) in diameter (excluding pendant crown and bow). It weighs 155 g (~5.46 ounces).CASE The heavy open face case is made of SILVEROID. It is in pristine condition without any dings or dents. All hinges are strong and all lids open and close as they should. It is marked inside the back lid: KEYSTONE, WATCHCASE, SILVEROID with serial number 8744360. Same serial number is engraved inside the dust cover and also GUARANTEED, SILVEROID, GENUINE.MOVEMENT 18 Size movement in excellent and clean condition.This is key wind and set movement and has 13 jewels. Marked ELGIN, Ill., G. M. WHEELER, Patent Pinion, with serial number 279983. It is running strong and keeps excellent time. DIAL The Single-Sunk porcelain dial is still in excellent condition as shown in the pictures.It is marked ELGIN NAT'L WATCH CO.
