| This is a nice 16 Size (51mm in diameter) Elgin pocket watch dating from 1903, with GOLD FILLED case in full working order and keeping excellent time. The open face case is Gold Filled all in excellent condition with minimal wear for its age. No dings or dents. It has a monogram on the back lid. Inside back lid it is engraved DUEBER SPECIAL with serial number 5579908. The inside of the dust cover is marked WARRANTED DUEBER 25 YEARS with serial number 5579908. The case is three-hinged and all hinges are strong and all lids open and close as they should. The face is white porcelain, double-sunk, with black Arabic numerals marking the hour. The dial is marked with a private label Hyman. Berg & Co., Chicago. It is in excellent condition as can be seen in the pictures. No hairlines or any kind of damage. Hands are original and in excellent condition. It has a glass crystal without chips or cracks. The damskeened movement is a real beauty. It is a three-finger type movement, Grade 246 and has gold jewel settings, wheels and balance screws. It is engraved ELGIN NATL. WATCH CO., 17 JEWELS ADJUSTED, with serial number 9779072, which dates this watch to 1903. It is running strong and keeps excellent time.
