This is a nice 336 Grade, Elgin pocket watch made in 1909. It is in excellent running order and keeps excellent time. It has been recently cleaned, oiled and timed. SIZE and WEIGHT This is a 18 size 5 model. It measures around 58 mm (2.3 inches) in diameter (excluding pendant crown and bow). It weighs about 150 g (5.3 ounces).CASE The open-face swing-out case is made of Nickel Allow and still in excellent condition for its age without any damage.Engraved inside the back lid: PATENTED TRADE MARK with a Star inside a Crescent. It has serial number 115. It has a strong hinge, open and close as it should. MOVEMENT 18 Size movement in excellent and clean condition.Marked Elgin Natl. Watch Co., U. S. A., 17 Jewels with serial number 13878316. It has a SAFETY PINION, which will unscrew in case the main spring is broken. This protects the wheel train and bearings from the sudden released power of the mainspring. This is a stem wind and set movement and has 17 jewels. It is running strong and keeps excellent time. DIAL The white porcelain dial is in excellent condition and remain undamaged (no chips or hairlines).It is marked Elgin. HANDS Blue steel hands are original and in excellent condition.CRYSTAL The glass crystal is very thick and remains in excellent condition without scratches or chips.This is a nice pocket watch fully functional and has been professionally checked and timed.
