Code BA25111301: Antique James Parkes & Son Pocket Compass c. 1850
| This is a nice and rare compass made by JAMES PARKES & Son c. 1850. It comes in a round brass case with a lid. The dial is clearly marked with the maker's logo: LEFT EYE WITH EYEBROW in the middle of the words TRADE MARK. The compass has a quality bar needle with a brass cap. It is in full working order and finding North without any problem. Very nice and rare compass measuring around 52mm in diameter. |
