Code BA24062801: Victorian Leather-Cased Pocket Compass, c. 1880
This is a nice leather cased compass made in England around 1880. The compass has a brass case in excellent condition without dings or dents. It has a very unsual light green floating dial in excellent condition without any damage. The dial is covered by a glass crystal that is also in excellent condition without chips or scratches. The compass is in excellent working order and finds North easily and precisely. It is fitted in a nice brown leather wood case with dark blue velvet inside and still in excellent condition without any damage. The hook is present and the lid closed and opens as it should. The inner compass measures around 35mm in diameter and the leather outer case measures 43mm in diameter. Very nice and quality compass. |
