The Boreal Arrow

Code BA24061754: Salesman Display Case for Taylor Compasses, c. 1915

This is an extremely rare salesman display case for Taylor compasses. I've never seen one before and the only available information about it is here: https://compassmuseum.com/images/pocket4/taylor_cat_1931.jpg. There is room for 8 Taylor compasses inside: Leedawl, Magnapole, Flodial, Litenite, Gydawl, Aurapole, Meradial and Ceebynite. The tray is lined with green velvet to protect the compasses from scratches. It has an easel-back with two different levels for displaying the compasses. The tray is lettered in gold: JEWELLED CENTRE COMPASS, Taylor Quality. The box measures around 23 x 20 cm. This is a great find for the serious collector of Taylor compasses. The compasses pictured inside the tray are not included and are for illustration only.
