| This is an Aurapole compass made by Taylor around 1915. It has jeweled bearing. Marked AURAPOLE, Short & Mason, Taylor-Rochester, NY, PAT. APR. 20 - 1915 on dial. The case is nickel and in excellent condition without dings or dents. Inside the lid, it is engraved with the word SWISS. The hinge is strong and the transit lock is functional. The glass crystal is in excellent condition. No damage. In perfect working order and finds magnetic North easily. It measures around 4.5cm in diameter. |
