Code BA24061719: English hunter Compass, c. 1920
| This is a nice English compass in a hunter case made around 1920. The compass has a nice pocket watch case that is in excellent condition without dings or dents. It has a strong hinge and when the crown is pushed the lid springs open as it should. The dial has a nice design and is in excellent condition. It is covered with a beveled glass also in excellent condition without any chips or scratches. When the lid is closed the transit lock lifts the needle to prevent wear to the pivot. When the lid is opened the needle is released and finds North easily and precisely. Excellent overall condition. It measures around 45mm in diameter excluding the pendant and ring. |
