Code BA24021601: Swiss Longines Compass for Cruchon & Emons, London, c. 1920
This is a very nice SWISS hunter pocket compass made by Longines in the WWI era. It has a very slim brass case with only 7.75 mm thickness (less than 1 cm). This example was specially made for Cruchon & Emons and was produced in very limited number. The case is made of brass and still in excellent condition without any dings or dents. Inside the lid it the Longines serial number 1236. It has a nice rotating dial card in excellent condition. It is marked CRUCHON & EMONS, LONDON, SWISS. The flat crystal is also in flawless condition without scratches or chips. In full working order and finding North precisely with transit lock when the lid is closed. The compass measures around 44 mm in diameter. |
