| This is a pocket watch style compass with black bezel dating from WWII era. The case is nickel and in excellent condition without any dings or dents. It is engraved with the owner's name D. M. SINCLAIR, 2342683, 14th Indian Signals, S. E. A. C. (South East Asia Command). When the button is pushed, the lid springs open as it should. It has a flat glass crystal in excellent condition without scratches or chips. It has a floating dial typically used since 1917. The dial is in excellent condition. In fine working order (finding North easily and precisely), with a working transit lock when lid is closed. Measures 4.5cm in diameter. A nice piece of English military history. |
