Code BA22091202: Gydawl, Short & Mason Compass, c. 1915
| This is a WW1 antique compass marked Gydawl, Short & Mason, Taylor, Rochester, NY, PATENTS PENDING. It has a blue color needle with a jewelled brass cap. The case is made of Nickel in excellent condition. The glass crystal also is in excellent condition without any chips or scratches. The compass has a transit lock that freezes the needle when the lid is closed. The case has a strong hinge and the lid springs open to a right angle when the button is pushed. It is in full working order and finds North without any problem. It measures around 4.7cm in diameter. |
