| This is a Taylor pocket compass dating to c. 1920. It has jewelled bearing, actuating, self lever. Marked Taylor on dial. It has a blue needle typically used on Taylor models. Both dial and needle are in excellent condition.Case is brass and in excellent condition without any dings or dents. When the button is pressed, the lid springs open as it should. It has a strong hinge and a transit lock that comes into action when the lid is closed. In perfect working order and finding North easily and precisely. It measures about 4.6cm in diameter. Would make a nice gift. |
