| This is a very rare KEUFFEL & ESSER Co. open face antique compass dated c. 1920. It has jewelled bearing, actuating, self lever. Marked KEUFFEL & ESSER Co., NEW YORK on dial. Case is nickel in excellent condition without dings or dents. This version with black floating dial is rarer. The glass crystal is clear without any scratches. In perfect working order and finding North easily and precisely. The transit lock can be activated by turning the crown. Nice add to any collection. Measures around 4.3cm in diameter. |
