| This is a WW1 pocket watch style antique compass made by Short & Mason of London. The case is Nickel plated and in excellent condition. It has a strong hinge. Inside front lid it has the serial number 52. The glass crystal covers the distinctive floating dial card both in excellent condition. The dial is marked SHORT & MASON LTD., LONDON and Tycos crossed by an arrow at North. In full working order and finds North easily. The transit lock is also in working order. A rare compass by quality English maker. Measures 52mm in diameter. It would make a great gift. |
