The Boreal Arrow

Code BA20050201: Antique late 1800s English Brass Cased Compass

This is a nice and rare late 19th century British compass. It was made approximately in 1870. The compass comes in a solid brass case in excellent condition and has a brass cover. It has a nice dial typically used in the 1800s. The dial is covered with a flat glass crystal in excellent condition without scratches or chips. The compass has a crown shaped brass capped needle. It has a nice blue colour and is marked with golden 'S' and 'N' for South and North. The compass is fully working and finds North without any problem. It has a transit lock activated when the lid is closed. The compass measures 61 mm in diameter. Very nice and rare compass.
