Code BA19030901: Antique Short & Mason Tycos Brass Compass, c. 1910
| This is a nice Short & Mason Tycos compass made around 1910. It comes in a large solid brass case marked Short & Mason, Tycos. The case is in excellent condition and engraved "B.K.ELLIOTT CO., PITTSBURGH PA., Tycos". The compass is covered with a beveled flat glass crystal free of chips and scratches. The dial is graduated in degrees and numbered every 10 degrees. It has the Short & Mason logo at North. The quality bar needle has a jewelled brass cap. The compass is in full working order and finds North easily. The transit lock is activated when the lid is closed. It measures 65mm in diameter. |
