Code BA16120604: Victorian Wood Cased Compass, c. 1880

This is a Victorian compass made c. 1880. The compass is housed in a brown painted wood case still in nice condition. The compass has a nice dial and a flat needle with a jewelled brass cap. It is covered with a slightly domed glass crystal in excellent condition. The compass is very precise and points to magnetic north without any problem. It has a transit lock activated when lid is closed. The compass dial measures 35 mm in diameter and the external case measures 43 mm in diameter.
