Code BA15100401: English Officer WWII Wrist Compass

This is a rare English officer wrist compass dating from WWII. It is like a pocket compass except that it does not have a ring or a pendant. Instead it has a small button that must be pushed for the lid to spring open. The case is brass and free of dings. It has only few spots of loss of the plating, which is normal for its age. The lid spring open and does not travel beyond the right angle. The compass is covered with a thick glass crystal that is also in excellent condition and free of chips or scratches. It has a black bezel. It has a dry rotating card the points North easily and precisely. The transit lock is also activated when lid is closed. It comes with a leather military type strap with military arrow stamped on the leather. It measures approximately 46.5mm (1.83 inches) in diameter.
