Code BA150322735: Antique James Parkes & Son Pocket Compass c. 1850

This is a nice and rare compass made by JAMES PARKES & Son c. 1850. It comes in a round brass case with a lid. It has a monogram engraved on the front lid the case. The dial is clearly marked with the maker's logo: LEFT EYE WITH EYEBROW in the middle of the words TRADE MARK. The compass has a quality bar needle with a jewelled brass cap. It is in full working order including the transit lock and finding North without any problem. Very nice and rare compass with 40mm in diameter.
