Code BA140715593: WWI F. BARKER & Son Compass in Wood Case - 1918
This is a World War I period mahogany cased pocket field compass made by the famous F. Barker & Son of London in 1918. It is still in great condition with only normal marks of use. It has strong hinges, opens and closes as it should. It is in perfect working order and finds magnetic North easily and precisely. Dial locks automatically when cover is closed. The back of the wood case is engraved F. BARKER & SON, MAKERS LONDON, 1918, with serial number 8067. It is 7.5cm square and 3cm thick. |
