| This is an Edwardian marching compass made by the Negretti & Zambra of London in around 1928. It comes in a leather case in flawless condition. Case is marked C, R. STRAFFORD, 1928. It is also marked A.D.C. (Aide de Camp) with another personal inscription. The compass has a black finish brass case. No damage or dents. The glass crystals are original and in excellent condition with no scratches or chips. The dial is signed Negretti & Zambra, LONDON. It is in excellent condition as well. The compass is in full working order and finds North precisely. The dial can be locked by sliding a small lever on the side of the case. It measures 55mm in diameter. |
