| This is an antique compass made in England around 1900 by J. CASARTELLI. The compass has a dark metal case housed in a round leather case. The leather case is in excellent condition without any damage. It has blue velvet inside. It opens and closes as it should. Inside the lid it has a sticker marked J. CASARTELLI, MANCHESTER. The glass is in excellent condition without any chips or scratches. It has a quality jewelled bar needle that swings freely and finds North easily. The transit lock is activated when the lid is closed. The compass measures 37mm in diameter. The external leather case measures 46mm in diameter. |
