This is a WW1 Verner's pattern VII military marching compass with leather case, dated 1917. Made by E. KOEHN in GENEVE SWISSE, it has the military arrow /|\ and serial numbered 60435. E. KOEHN is also well known as a quality pocket watch movement maker for the prestigious Tiffany & Co. Has the traditional mother of pearl dial, for low light reading. The brass lid has a nice strong hinge. Has brass knob on the side for transit locking of dial. The compass has also a magnifying prism for precise angles calculation (for target engagement). The leather case is in excellent condition. In excellent working order and finds North easily and precisely. Size is 5.4cm in diameter. |
