Code BA13041025: WWI Marching Compass by Lennie of Edinburgh
This is a WW1 Verners pattern MKV or MKVI military marching compass with leather case. Made by LENNIE of EDINBURGH. Has the traditional mother of pearl dial, for low light reading with the orange direction arrow intact. The brass lid retains virtually all of its original black finish with a nice strong hinge. Has brass knob on the side for transit locking of dial. The compass has also a magnifying lens for precise angles calculation (for target engagement). The compass and leather case are in excellent condition. The flat glass crystal has a small chip to the edge from the inside but nothing serious. This example comes with original detailed instructions of use. The instructions are placed inside the lid of the leather case. This is a fine example by a quality maker. Measures 5.4cm in diameter. |
