This is a nice small fob compass made by the famous F. Barker & Son. It comes in a solid silver case in excellent condition free of dings or dents. It has an engine-turned back and an empty space to be engraved in the middle. The case is hallmarked for London 1909. It is also stamped with maker's initials F. B. & Sn LTD. The dial is yellow and in excellent condition. It has a bar needle that finds North easily and precisely. The glass crystal is excellent condition without scratches or chips. It measures 31mm in diameter excluding the pendant and the ring. This is a rare compass by a quality maker. It would make a great gift. |
