| This is a nice and rare full hunter compass made by the famous Francis Barker & Son firm in 1905. This is the smallest model by this maker since it measures only 28.42mm in diameter (1.12 inches). It comes in a solid silver case that is still in excellent condition. No dings or dents. Inside the lid it has clear English silver hallmarks for London 1905 and maker mark: F. B. & Sn. The case has a strong hinge and the front lid springs open when the push button is pressed. It has a mother-of-pearl dial, which is a real beauty. This is a beautiful and very hard to find compass that would make a great gift. |
