Code BA110710302: Antique Swiss Longines Pocket Watch c. 1889

This is a vintage 53mm famous SWISS Longines
pocket watch made around 1889, with solid silver hunter case in full working order
and keeping excellent time. The case is solid
silver and in excellent condition
for its age. No damage. It has nice floral designs on both sides with two
different scenes. Inside back lid
it is engraved with Longines logo with
.800 Swiss silver hallmark and serial number 723516.
The same information is marked inside the front lid with the last three
digits of the serial number. On the dust cover, it is marked
Longines, Grand Prix Paris 1889, Ancre 15 Rubis.
The dust cover is also made of silver and has Swiss silver hallmarks inside. The face
is white porcelain with black Arabic numerals marking the hours. An inside
center second dial exists with black numbers marked in increments of 10 up
to 60. The center of the face is
stamped LONGINES. The dial is in excellent
condition without damage or hairlines or chips as can
be seen in the pictures. Hands are original blue in colour and in excellent
condition. The glass crystal is in excellent
condition. The movement is stem wind and lever set
(between 4 and 5), it is engraved LONGINES. It
is running strong and keeps
excellent time. |
