It is in excellent running order and keeps excellent time. It has been recently cleaned, oiled and timed.
SIZE and WEIGHTThis is a 16 size 2 model, Grade 974. It measures around 52 mm (2.04 inches) in diameter (excluding pendant crown and bow). It weighs about 100 g.
CASEThe open-face salesman case is made of white metal and still in excellent condition without any dings or dents.
Both lids open and close as they should and they close tightly but may be removed by hand without the need of a special tool.
The front bezel is engraved HAMILTON.
MOVEMENT16 Size movement in excellent and clean condition.
Marked Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Pa. with serial number 1144100, ADJUSTED, 17 JEWELS. It is also marked with grade number 974. This is stem wind and lever set (at one O'clock) movement and has 17 jewels.
It is running strong and keeps excellent time.
DIALThe double-sunk white porcelain dial is in excellent condition without any hairlines or chips.
This is a Ferguson dial, which features large black Arabic numerals at the 5 minute marks on the main chapter ring, and an inner chapter ring printed in red that numbered the hours 13 through 24.
It is marked Hamilton.
HANDSHeavy diamond blue steel hands are original and in excellent condition.
CRYSTALBoth glass crystals are in excellent condition without any scratches or chips.
This is a nice and rare pocket watch that has been very well preserved over the years. It is fully functional and has been professionally checked and timed.
