Code T19: Antique Singers Patent MOP Dial Brass Compass, c. 1870
| This is a nice and rare early British compass dating c. 1870. The compass comes in a purpose made solid brass case in excellent condition. It has a nice hand-painted Mother-of-Pearl Singer's Patent dial in excellent condition. The jewelled cap is high quality and allows the dial to rotate smoothly to find North precisely. A lever is located on the bezel next to the dial and used to freeze the dial when the compass is not in use. The compass measures 30mm in diameter. Very nice and rare compass. |
