Code T07: ENG. DEPT. USANITE TAYLOR Compass, 1918
| This is a WWI U.S. Engineering Department USANITE model compass. It comes in a full hunter Nickel case in excellent condition (see pictures). The case is engraved ENG. DEPT. U.S.A. 1918. The face is stamped with USANITE, Taylor, Rochester, NY, PAT. APR. 20-1915. The lid springs open when the button is pushed. Strong hinge. The compass finds North precisely and the transit lock is in working order. It measures 4.5cm in diameter. Would make a nice gift. |
