Code BA19100503: French Brass Compass, c. 1920

This is a French compass made c. 1920. It comes in a brass open face case still in excellent condition with only normal signs of wear. The compass has a yellow metal dial with a raised chapter of silver colour, numbered every 20 degrees and graduated every 2 degrees. It has a typical French flat needle with a jewelled brass cap. It is silver and blue in color. The thick glass crystal is still in nice condition for its age without damage (no cracks, no chips). The transit lock can be activated by sliding a small button on the side of the case. It is in excellent working order and finds North precisely. It measures 52mm in diameter.
