| This a nice hunter compass made around 1900. The case is brass and in nice condition for its age without damage with normal signs or use. Has the inscription S R S on the front lid. It has a strong hinge and the lid springs open when the button is pushed. It has a glass and in excellent condition without any chips or scratches. It has a very nice dial clearly marked WEST LONDON. It is in full working order and pointing North very precisely. When the lid is closed the transit lock prevents the needle from moving to avoid wear to the pivot. It measures around 46mm in diameter. |
