Code BA1503261: French Brass Compass with Lid, c. 1920

This is a French compass made c. 1920. It comes in a gilt brass lidded case still in excellent condition with only normal sign of wear to the gilding. The compass has a metal dial free of damage and signed Made In France. It has a typical French flat needle with a jewelled brass cap. It is silver and blue in color. The thick glass crystal is in excellent condition without chips or scratches. The transit lock can be activated by sliding a small button on the side of the case. It is in excellent working order and finds North precisely. The lid also closes and opens as it should. It measures 49mm in diameter.
