Code BA150321743: English hunter Compass by F. Barker & Son, c. 1910

This is an English full hunter compass made around 1910 by Francis Barker & Son. The case is brass and still in excellent condition. It has no dings or dents. It has a strong hinge and numbered 38 inside the lid. The dial has a nice design and is in excellent condition. It is engraved with the maker's logo: TRADE MARK LONDON with interlaced F. B. & S. It is covered with a beveled glass also in excellent condition without any chips or scratches. When the lid is closed the transit lock lifts the needle to prevent wear to the pivot. When the lid is opened the needle is released and finds North easily and precisely. Measures about 56mm in diameter.
