Code BA131019497: Large Wood Cased Hungarian Compass and Clinometer, c. 1910

This is a rare compass manufactured in Hungary in the early 1900. It has a wood case in original condition without any damage. The wood is probably rose wood. It has strong hinge and a locking system to open the lid by pushing a button. The company name is clearly marked on the dial: MOM, Budapest. It has also a serial number 193853. It has a raised chapter ring for the compass. The quality bar needle has a jewelled brass cap. There is also a small knob next to the dial when turned acts as a transit lock. The compass is covered with a flat glass crystal in flawless condition. The compass an clinometer are in excellent working order. The compass is accurate. This is large compass measuring 100mm x 100mm x 30mm.
