Code BA121017869: Victorian Compass in Wood Box c. 1880
| This is an English wood cased compass dating from around 1880. The case has brass hinges and a hook to keep it closed. It has a flat glass crystal that covers the dial. The case in good condition for its age. The crystal is free of chips or scratches. The needle has a brass cap. It is half blue half silver in colour. This paper dial is typical of this era. The compass is in working order and finds North easily. It measures 60 mm x 60 mm x 21 mm. |
