Code BA11100923: WWI F. BARKER & Son Compass in Wood Case - 1918
This is a World War I period mahogany cased pocket field compass made by the famous F. Barker & Son of London in 1918. It is in excellent condition with a short & minor hairline in the case of little importance. It has strong hinges and opens and closes as it should. It is in perfect working order and finds magnetic North easily and precisely. Dial locks automatically when cover is closed. The back of the wood case is engraved: F. BARKER & SON, MAKERS LONDON, 1918, with serial number 3056. Its size is 7.5cm square & 3cm thick.
