The Boreal Arrow 

Code BA11061926: Antique Newton & Co. Leather-Cased Compass, c. 1880


This is a rare compass made by Newton & Co.  3 Fleet Street, London. It is leather-cased and has the push-pull stem to activate/deactivate the transit lock. The compass has a white metal case and in excellent condition. The compass points North  precisely. The glass crystal is in excellent condition. No chips or scratches. The leather case has lost some of the leather skin by the wood is still intact and sturdy and the case opens and closes as it should. The compass measures 41mm in diameter and the outer leather case measures 52mm in diameter.
